MSI to release new 3 and 4-way SLI Bridges with mounted FAN

MSI to release new 3 and 4-way SLI Bridges with mounted FAN

MSI will soon release new 3 and 4-way SLI Bridges with a mounted FAN unit. Some early photos have reached the web, which you can see after the break.

So I think it is relatively safe to say that the graphics card market is ina  slope right now, both manufacturers are waiting until volume production of 14/15/16nm will become a fact. And that fact should be around the May/June 2016 time-frame.

Hence the VGA teams have a bit more free time on their hands. Over at MSI they are fabbing new SLI connectors. MSI is to offer 3 and 4-way SLI bridges that will incorporate an included fan that blows cold air towards the fans and this over the graphics cards. not at all a bad idea really as 3/4-way setups can really bring a GPU to the boil due to bad airflow.

We should already have a couple of these units inbound, below the first photo of what that's going to look like. Apologies for the shaky camera photo. Once the new bridges arrive I'll do a proper photo-shoot and demonstrate them better.

Really? I mean....as many of us build our own PC rigs...don't tell me no one else, besides me, have custom mounted a 120mm case fan somewhere on the sides of the GPU's for better air flow?

I'd probably pick one up if I was still running sli, the heat it generates is crazy I mean the only other option is watercooling and a custom loop is out of my budget and the AIO kits seem like more hassle then they're worth,

My opinion- I would not want this on my system if I had multi-gpu, for 1 its not going to do much at that angle the fan is mounted depending what kind of cards you have. Not to mention its so ugly and ruins the entire look of a Sli or Crossfire set-up/.Nz

Pointless idea is pointless.

Why would anyone spend money on such an item? You forget that the nVidia fanboys (affectionately known as 'nVidiots') are always ready to throw good money into 'pointless' ideas as long as it has the nVidia brand on it.....I mean, those SLi bridges that glowed must have been sold by the thousands. Heck, even I thought of buying one for my dual GTX Titan setup.... :moon:
