MSI Releases AGESA COMBO PI V2 1.2.0.1 Beta BIOS for AMD 500 Series Motherboards
MSI announces the release of AGESA COMBO PI V2 1.2.0.1 beta BIOS for its AMD 500 series motherboards to add SMART ACCESS MEMORY support to AMD RYZEN 3000 desktop processors. Now both RYZEN 5000 and RYZEN 3000* desktop processors support SMART ACCESS MEMORY.
AGESA COMBO PI V2 1.2.0.1 BIOS also improves L3 Cache bandwidth in AIDA64 for RYZEN 5000 desktop processors. SMART ACCESS MEMORY is an innovative feature that allows the system to access the full capacity of the VRAM on the graphics card. Compare to the current solution which has a 256 MB access limitation, this feature will provide the users a better gaming experience.
This feature requires pairing the AMD Radeon RX 6000 series graphics card with AMD RYZEN 5000/3000* series desktop processors. Also, don't forget to update the graphics card driver to the latest version. After taking these steps, this feature will be online and ready to boost your gaming performance. AGESA COMBO PI V2 1.2.0.1 also fixes the RYZEN 5000 series processor L3 Cache bandwidth issue in AIDA64. With the new AGESA, the L3 Cache bandwidth has a dramatic improvement. The new AGESA COMBO PI V2 1.2.0.1 BIOSes are online. Please go to the corresponding support page of the product to download the latest BIOS and enjoy the sweet performance boost.
*Smart Access Memory is supported on Ryzen 3000 series processors excluding the Ryzen 5 3400G and Ryzen 3 3200G.

AMD AGESA 1.2.0.1 vs AGESA 1.2.0.0 BIOS Firmware Gaming Performance:
In addition to fixing the L3 Cache performance in AIDA64, the BIOS Firmware also improves gaming performance. We were provided with a benchmark within Shadow of The Tomb Raider where it can be seen that the 1.2.0.1 BIOS Firmware boosts the performance by up to 17% (CPU average).

Its a case of when not if.....last i heard it needs a vbios update but i dont know if Nvidia need to send samples to Msi and the and other companies or if its something the companies do them selves.
I contacted Msi regarding this, this is the ticket i opened with Msi
"Hi, will Msi be releasing a VBIOS update for my MSI 3070 gaming xtrio to support Resizable BAR. Thank you."
Pretty straight forward question, but this is the reply i received.
"I don't quite understand what you mean. I am the graphics hardware support department. What kind of help do you need from me?"
Im wondering if Nvidia have actually told the AIB`s about this feature.

Why do people keep parroting that the new AGESA fixed L3 cache performance. All they did was change how the numbers are reported by the benchmark so it represented what was felt to be closer to actual results. All they did was insert a result multiplier and then present those numbers. Effectively they just negated the whole benchmark since the results are able to be manipulated at the manufacturer's whim. People should be burning down Aida's doors because of this. Higher meaningless numbers are better...everyone knows that.

Oh nice. SAM on a 3k series might actually alleviate some CPU related bottlenecking. Would be nice if they could pull it off for Nvidia cards too.
