MSI Receives a patent for their Curved Gaming Monitors
MSI has received an intellectual property assurance for its product platforms in the form of patent TW M556865 for its brand new Curved Gaming Monitor. This patent serves to further assure MSI Curved Gaming Monitor surrounding its status display module, microcontroller, and a communication module.

There are many monitors with smaller frame. And many notebooks have led stripe under display too. Just not with changing color (as far as I know).
Anyway, including thin borders in patent is pretty stupid.
And patenting that there are 5 LEDs changing color under screen which has millions of pixels changing colors... That's beyond stupid.

That's the stupid US patent system, where you can try to patent round corners and a black frame on a smartphone

And honestly, on that surround picture in Hilbert's OP, that "thin frame" doesn't look that thin either... frameless, now that's something I want to see, anything else still breaks it for me (hence no multi display setup).

The Acer Predator X34P already has the LED feature (tho all LED have the same color opposed to being able to have a different color on each LED)

When I see one I may change my opinion but at the moment having LED's in the front of monitor is a total fart of an idea.
