MSI Outs Optix G242 24in Monitor 144Hz / 1ms

MSI offers a 23.8-inch full HD gaming liquid crystal display that supports high-speed drawing with a refresh rate of 144Hz and a response speed of 1ms on December 24, 2020 (local time). Announced "Optix G242".

The 23.8-inch full HD display supports refresh rates of 144Hz and a response speed of 1ms. The liquid crystal panel is IPS-based and can display a wide viewing angle of 178 ° horizontally / vertically. The display synchronization technology is NVIDIA G-Sync Compatible and supports a wide color gamut display of DCI-P3 94.6% / sRGB 127.7%. In addition, as an eye care function, it is equipped with "Anti-Flickr" that suppresses the flicker of the backlight and "Blue Light Reduction" that reduces blue light.

The main specifications are a brightness of 250 nits, a contrast ratio of 1,000: 1 (100 million: 1 at DCR), and 16.7 million display colors. The interface is DisplayPort 1.2 x 1, HDMI 1.4 x 2, earphone jack x 1. It is also equipped with a "Night Vision" function that enhances visibility in dark places.

The VESA mounter has a 100x100mm pitch, and the stand can be tilted by -5 to 20 °. The main body size is 540.2 mm in width, 228.2 mm in depth, 411.6 mm in height, and 3.33 kg in weight. At this time, there are no sales announcements for this product in the domestic market.

You do not need more than 6-bit colors when you aren't HDR capable. The end.

I disagree, colours are certainly more vivid on a true 8bit display.

the hoops you have to jump through to identify which are 10bit and which are 8+FRC though. :(
