MSI is finally revealing the MEG Z690 GODLIKE motherboard, the company's most extravagant motherboard to date. An MSI representative demonstrated the product during a live stream on Wednesday, during which the company also revealed that the motherboard will cost an unholy $2,099.

As an added feature, a 3.5-inch LCD touch panel is located in the corner of the motherboard, which may display system information like as CPU temperatures, among other things. It is possible to play photos, films, and even real weather conditions on the same screen, which also incorporates a speaker. Aside from that, owners can detach the LCD screen and use it externally, through a USB cable, to monitor and adjust the PC.

Other features include two USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 20GB ports on the front of the board, dual PCIe Gen 5.0 slots, and an all-metal backplate that helps to keep the board cool. The motherboard, on the other hand, is quite heavy, weighing in at 6.6 pounds.

The $2,099 pricing is steep, but MSI is offering the motherboard as part of a package that also includes an integrated all-in-one liquid cooler. Additionally, the GODLIKE will ship with a 32GB package of DDR5 RAM, saving buyers the trouble of having to purchase difficult-to-find memory at a time when it is already in limited supply. (According to the bundle, the motherboard itself costs approximately $1,400 after excluding the cooler and DDR5 RAM from the price.)

The GODLIKE is a bit larger than a regular ATX computer motherboard. Instead, the device is labeled as a "extended ATX" board due to its greater length and wider footprint. MSI's own computer cases aren't even officially compatible with the motherboard, though the company is working on releasing a new chassis that will be compatible.

MSI says that only customers that previously purchased a Godlike motherboard or one of its GeForce RTX 3080/3090 graphics cards will be eligible to secure the MEG Z690 Godlike. According to MSI, you must have registered the product on their website.
