MSI Introduces the i9-12900HX and RTX 3080 Ti Ultra-High-End Gaming Laptop

MSI unveiled a 17.3-inch gaming laptop PC equipped with Core i9-12900HX and GeForce RTX 3080 Ti Laptop GPU Raider-GE77HX-12UHS-095.

The liquid crystal panel is a WQHD panel with a high refresh rate of 240Hz and a wide color gamut display equivalent to DCI-P3. Furthermore, the cooling solution "Cooler Boost 5" maximizes CPU / GPU performance.

DDR5 32GB (16GB x 2) memory, 1TB NVMe M.2 SSD storage, 2.5 Gigabit LAN network, IEEE802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax wireless LAN, Bluetooth 5.2, and speakers are the major specifications. Two stereo speakers and two woofers are included. A SteelSeries Per-Key RGB Japanese keyboard is also used on the keyboard. Thunderbolt 4 x 1, USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-C (supports video output) x 1, USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-A x 2, HDMI x 1, headphone / microphone combination jack x 1 are the interfaces. The battery has a capacity of 99.9 Whr / 4 cells / 6,250 mAh and a maximum driving time of 6 hours. External dimensions are 397mm wide, 284mm deep, 25.9mm high, and the weight is 2.9kg. The operating system includes the 64-bit version of Windows 11 Home. Expected pricing sits at a whopping 3849 USD.

where i work we bought 5 asus laptops with pretty close configuration, and here in chile we payed almost 6k usd for each machine.. sad but true

Yes it's pretty sad how your company wasted money. Could have bought amazing desktop PCs for office work and still have money left for decent laptops for work from home, instead of big, heavy and cringe looking gaming laptop monstrosity that will sound like jet engine and thermal throttle.

of course we choose that model because was the only choice that make sence (in the chilean market wich is very limited), we have to move a lot from home to office and work in both places at full speed, movind big scenes in unreal engine isn't easy for a normal laptop and to move a full size desktop to the office each time we need to go there isn't easy either. the cringe looks and the jet like sound are problems we have to deal with
