MSI introduces GT76 Titan with Core i9-9900K and RTX 2080

MSI has added the GT76 Titan and GE65 Raider to its range of gaming laptops with the latest generation of Core i9 processors and the GT76 comes with the RTX 2080 from Nvidia.

MSI is implementing this with the new "Cooler Boost Titan" cooling, which is equipped with 11 heatpipes and four fans and as such MSI will be able to boost clock of up to 5.0 GHz on all eight cores.

The copper block is CNC-milled and should be able to absorb the heat a little more efficiently. As an alternative configuration, the MSI GT76 Titan will also be available with Intel Core i7-9700K and Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070. The keyboard comes from SteelSeries and has a RGB single button lighting. With "Mystic Light RGB" in addition, the bottom and back of the laptop is illuminated. The display is 17.3 inches tall and is available as a FullHD panel with 144Hz or 4K UHD panel.

The RAM can be equipped with up to 128 GB via four modules, for the internal memory are three M.2 PCIe 3.0 NVMe slots in the Super Raid available. Even a 2.5 inch SATA hard disk can be used. The new WiFi 6 standard (802.11ax) , which is integrated in the Killer AX1650 WLAN module, ensures fast data transfers, also to be possible via Ethernet in the Killer E3000, MSI speaks of up to 2.5 Gbit/s.

The following connections are available: 2x USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-C (1x Thunderbolt 3) , 4x USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A and 1x HDMI, 1x Mini DisplayPort and an audio port. The built-in battery provides 90 Wh and is powered by 2x 230 Watt power supplies with energy . In the Core i7 version it is 1x 330W power supply. Other features include Bluetooth 5.0, Dynaudio stereo speakers + ESS Saber Hi-Fi Audio DAC and a MicroSD card slot.

The new MSI GT76 Titan will be available from July for € 3,499 (RRP) . However, it is not clear which variant it is. With Intel Core i9-9900K, the notebook could be a good deal more expensive again. We are curious how the GT76 Titan will fare - especially in terms of cooling and Turbo Boost up to 5.0 GHz.

Desktop computers can do that. I mean this is hardly something i would call a laptop or a mobile device. It's a computer with a small case and a monitor attached to it that you can carry around more easily than a normal desktop computer. It's surely running too hot to use it on your lap. And while it would have been an acceptable daily mobile computer back in the 90ies by looking at the pictures i would definitely not call this a mobile device you can carry around on a daily basis in 2019.

true
its going to be like 3 or 4 thousand us so lets see
my sectional was only like 2k so its to good for the couch
my kitchen counter was not marble or granite and only 2k us so that rules that out.
table nope its way to good for the table
bedroom with everything rug to paint and furnishes ok its not to good for that
bathroom? nah
but my outside is wayyy to good for this so I could use it on my deck and enjoy the outdoors at the same time.
rich kids might have more use thuo

I see the AMD trolls making rounds. TBH MSI went with better gaming hardware with the i9. Too many jelly Amd users.

Heck no. This thing is pretty sweet. If you want purpose-built powerhouse laptop, something like this or a Sager is your best option. Smaller laptops have their place (i just got a new, thin, and pretty dell with a ryzen 3700u for work), but enthusiast level gaming isn't it. Always use the right tool for the job. If portable rock-your-face-off gaming is what you want, DTR brick is the way to go....just remember to get the extended warranty when you buy a $5000 dollar laptop.
