MSI will demonstrate their version of screwless M.2 SSD installation in forthcoming 600-series motherboards for AMD's Ryzen 7000 Zen 4 CPU. The system consists of MSI Screwless M.2 Shield Frozr and EZ M.2 Clips.

A Twitter leaker dubbed chi11eddog uploaded a collection of photographs that seem to be authentic. MSI makes various promises on one of the slides about how simple it is to use their Screwless M.2 Shield Frozr. A few images also demonstrate how to utilize the installation technique and how the spring-loaded lock works. A set of pre-mounted posts will make it simpler to install M.2 SSDs and heatsinks on future MSI motherboards featuring Screwless M.2 Shield Frozr heatsinks.

MSI provides another method for repairing the heatsink that does not need screws or tools. It's known as the MSI Screwless M.2. In some aspects, it's comparable to the initial M.2 SSD installation. First, the fixing post is aligned and inserted into the heatsink's rear. The heatsink is then cranked down. Once they feel that the heatsink is in contact with the fixing bases below, they may easily push the spring-loaded slots holes at the further end into alignment with the posts below. They will snap into place with continuing downward pressure.

A corporate CEO makes this new "easiest" M.2 SSD setup appear convoluted and difficult to use in the MSI video for Computex 2022. Perhaps the mending method has been improved since that video was released, making it less likely to fail. This mending mechanism will be discussed when we examine new motherboards.
