MSI GeForce GTX 1080 SEA HAWK EK edition

Ooh, sexy ! Some photos surfaced on an EK edition of the GeForce GTX 1080. Basically the product is fitted with some EK loving that you can add into your custom liquid cooling loop.

MSI is proud to announce an expansion in the GAMING graphics card line up with the MSI GeForce GTX 1080 SEA HAWK EK X and MSI GeForce 1070 SEA HAWK EK X. Based on the new NVIDIA GeForce GTX 10 series, the graphic cards are equipped with an EK high performance full cover water block to fulfill the demands of extreme performance. This ground breaking partnership which spawned the MSI GeForce GTX 1080 SEA HAWK EK X and MSI GeForce GTX 1070 SEA HAWK EK X is the next step towards an even better gaming experience. These graphics cards combine MSI's top-notch graphics card engineering with the dominant water cooling expertise by EK. The supreme liquid cooling performance guarantees a stable, silent GAMING experience.

Looking for some DIY fun? The SEA HAWK EK X comes with a pre-installed water block out of the box. This eliminates the need to remove the cooler or make any other changes to the graphics card and risking causing damage to it. Simply connect the SEA HAWK EK X to the water loop in any gaming rig, and create the ultimate water cooled gaming rig.

"The MSI SEA HAWK EK X represents the pinnacle in enthusiast class graphics cards and as such deserves only the best possible cooling", said Niko Tivadar, EK's Chief of R&D. "We are proud to say no compromises have been made. This is as good as it gets!"

The NVIDIA GeForce GTX 10 series is a powerful platform, but we understand that true gaming enthusiasts are always looking for the absolute zenith. Therefore both the core clock and memory clock are higher out of the box to raise in-game performance to a whole new level. The nickel-plated electrolytic base and smooth matte black backplate featuring the famous MSI GAMING dragon illustrate the SEA HAWK EK X's beastly performance and aesthetics. As an added benefit, the transparent edges of the provide additional protection for the PCB. This high performance full cover water block with central inlet split-flow cooling engine design delivers the best cooling performance, even with less powerful water pumps.

Unlock additional performance with the exclusive MSI GAMING APP which includes features like one click VR and Dragon Eye. Use the latest version of MSI Afterburner for the ultimate overclocking experience.

The MSI Gaming App allows gamers to quickly switch between OC, Gaming and Silent performance modes, depending on their needs. The latest version of MSI Gaming App features One-click to VR, which instantly optimizes your PC for the best Virtual Reality experience. It also includes host of premium features like EyeRest to improve image quality and Dragon Eye which allows you to watch a YouTube movie or stream while playing a game. Well, MSI is asking more than an insane €1000 for the hybrid version, so this one will probably be the same or more, considering the niche.

Probably cheaper to get a founders/reference edition and doing it yourself.
