MSI GeForce GTX 1080 and GTX 1070 DUKE Edition Graphics Cards

MSI GeForce GTX 1080 and GTX 1070 DUKE Edition Graphics Cards

It seems that MSI is releasing the MSI GeForce GTX 1080 and GTX 1070 DUKE Edition Graphics Cards, these are intended for the the more Asia segmented markets.

As you can see in the images, the new card carries a triple fan design as seen in MSI’s GeForce 10 series cards. This new Duke card seems to be a new, redesigned Tri-Frozr cooler before a larger cooler comes out for the Lightning based on the GP102. Talking about the new MSI GeForce GTX 1070, it may probably release in Asia only.

The card has got the same PCB as seen in GAMING X. The cooler is a bit longer than the board while the fans are significantly smaller. The full cover backplate and some other parts of the card are made of carbon fiber. The card gets its power from 6+8pin power connectors. The specs and price is still unknown, but it shouldn’t take long for more details to leak out.

The GTX 1080 DUKE Edition OC delivers clock speeds of 1708 MHz on the core with a 1847 MHz GPU Boost, and 10108 MHz (GDDR5X-effective) memory; while the GTX 1070 DUKE Edition at OC Mode offers 1607 MHz core, 1797 MHz GPU Boost, and 8108 MHz (GDDR5-effective) memory.

OMG why? Why would someone name anything in way that it would include "Duke".
Maybe beer? But Graphics Card? Where is Duchess?
Or did they realized that people would nickname it Douche's.

Looks are OK except of freaking shining "DUKE".

I'd at least expect all the Duke Nukem games ever released to come with it.
