MSI is set to expand its range of AMD motherboards with highly customized solutions. Along with ASUS and MaxSun, MSI plans to offer more mid-range options based on the DIY-APE design.

It should be noted that the name of the concept series is not the final product's name, as ASUS released its TUF B760M BTF motherboard for Intel LGA1700 CPUs, and MSI had their Project Zero. The primary goal of the DIY-APE project is to optimize cable management by hiding all power connectors, fan headers, storage, and peripheral connectivity completely. However, this concept requires a compatible case; otherwise, none of the connectors can be connected. It is now reported that two MSI AMD B650 motherboards have entered a qualification state. While we may still be weeks or months away from the final product's launch, rushing such a unique concept is never a good idea. Customers should pay attention to DIY-APE motherboard compatibility. Only specific cases can accommodate these motherboards, and at least two case designs are ready for the DIY-APE series, according to the original post on Bilibili. ASUS, Maxsun, and MSI's involvement indicates that the market adoption for the DIY-APE series should speed up in the coming months.
