Socket AM5 (LGA1718) motherboards will be used as a platform for AMD's next-generation Ryzen 7000 series of processors; nevertheless, the CPU cooler bracket remains unchanged, and all of AMD's water cooling units are backwards-compatible with the AM5 motherboard. If you want to use the integrated liquid cooling system, you may attach it via the motherboard's backplate. Two "MEG" series models, four "MPG" series models, and seven "MAG" series models were revealed this time around; all of them need the Socket AM5 backplate attached to the motherboard.
