MSI Adds GeForce GTX 980 and 980 Ti Armor2X Graphics Card

MSI silently introduced their GeForce GTX 980 and 980 Ti Armor2X Graphics Card. This is the somewhat more cost saving model in the GTX 980 Ti range.

The card seems to be designed to match the Krait series motherboards in black and white. The GPU will be clocked at a 1178 MHz core with a 1279 MHz GPU Boost clock.

There is also a regular GTX 980 model available with the same design and cooler, this 4GB GeForce GTX 980 will get clocked at 1102/1190 MHz

The 6GB memory remains reference based at 7010 MHz (GDDR5-effective). The card comes with an 8-pin and 6-pin PCIe power connectors, and has  display outputs in the liking of a DVI, HDMI 2.0, and DisplayPort 1.2 connectors.

kinda didnt get with "cost saving" model as price seems not different much either
i think they just replacing "reference model" with slight oc

while gaming series serve premium model for people looking best performance

They sure take time with their 980 ti lightning...

The Lightning will be a piece of engineering art. Even if ti comes out late, it will be more for the PR it will get on websites and from extreme LN2 overclockers. I loved my 2x680s Lightnings, but they were probably the worst bang for the buck I ever spent (still have one for collectotion's sake, it looks so freaking bad-ass). :P
