More details on new Rivet Networks Killer E2500 Ethernet Controller
Two days ago we posted a press release from MSI, where they announced two products to be equipped with the new Killer E2500 Ethernet Controller. It was a little unclear what the new series entails. more details are now available.
Rivet Networks announced the Killer E2500. The Killer E2500 now offers website detection technology that now detects and manages the top 500+ global websites, the Killer E2500 prioritizes web traffic along with your applications and games. Improved on the new series also is an advanced QoS features, advanced stream detect 2.0. ASD 2.0 is a feature with which the network interface driver prioritizes traffic specific to applications.
The biggest change however will be the software suite which allows manual control over network performance specific to not just games and apps, and websites. DoubleShot Pro received an update allowing control over which app/traffic should use a specicif NIC.
