Monster Hunter World Gets First Gameplay
Capcom showcased the first gameplay of Monster Hunter World. Producer Ryozo Tsujimoto explained that the subtitle 'World' indicates the fact that the game includes the world of Monster Hunter as a fully dynamic one.
In the gameplay itself, we see the player accepting a quest, which includes a look at the map. As the action begins, we immediately see the concept of the dynamic 'world,' with monsters fighting against each other and even eating each other like in a realistic ecosystem with an actual food chain. Knowing this food chain, players can take advantage of it. Monster Hunter World will release worldwide in early 2018 for PS4, Xbox One and PC.

Old monster hunter games had the range weapons but were always really melee heavy when it came to fighting the larger boss dinos, going range in the game was way more of a challenge and i am hoping that will be the case here.

Monster Hunter is huge as a series you know that? The number of PC/console gamers who bought portable systems JUST to play Monster Hunter means this would have to suck harder than NMS to flop. It's gone through 5-6 generations in the series spanning from PS2 to PSP, 3DS, Wii and now large screen options again (plus Switch for Japan and probably rest of the world in the future).
Read up a little about it or watch a few hunts on youtube. It has to be a third person game and it has to have a strong melee focus. It sounds like the FPS game you want to see is more like a Dinosaur version of DOOM. In that case, keep your eyes peeled for E3 2018 when they announce Dinosaur DOOM World. Until then Monster Hunter World is going to be a completely different experience to what you're thinking. And it'll probably sell really well, rightly or wrongly, based on the massive following it's got from it's 15 years as a series.
I predict a flop. This seriously needs to be first-person, for one thing. And it's got the same problem as 99% of the action games these days: an addiction to melee combat - because that's hugely easier to program than intelligent ranged AI. So we have the hero going mano a dino with a T-Rex, or similar... right. Stoopid. Crude. Cheap. Flop.
