Monster and EA SPORTS to Launch Gaming and Music Headphone

Monster, the world leader in high-performance personal audio, is proud to announce it is entering the gaming accessories space with the breakthrough EA SPORTS MVP Carbon by Monster headphone. Jointly developed with EA SPORTS, a label of Electronic Arts Inc., a global leader in digital interactive entertainment, the new EA SPORTS MVP Carbon by Monster headphone (SRP: $269.95) is the first-ever collaboration between a game developer and a headphone manufacturer that offers an unprecedented level of immersive sonic gameplay – just the way the game developers intended. Follow Monster during CES at #MonsterCES and the EA headphones launch at #PlayLoud.

The EA SPORTS MVP Carbon by Monster headphone fuses superior industrial design with maximum comfort and performance for unprecedented surround sound intensity with games, as well as a new level of audio performance for both music and movies. The unique alliance between Monster and EA SPORTS results in a new type of headphone that gives gamers the edge they need to play hours without fatigue and totally immerse themselves in all the action. It will be available in both white and black versions at retailers worldwide and www.monsterproducts.com beginning in February 2013.

Unique Creative Partnership for Brand New Type of Gaming Headphone

Designed from the ground up as the ultimate gaming headphone, the breakthrough EA SPORTS MVP Carbon by Monster headphones is the result of the first-ever creative collaboration between EA SPORTS, and Monster, the audio engineer behind the sound of the acclaimed Beats by Dr. Dre headphones.

Founder and Head Monster Noel Lee noted, "Anyone who spends a lot of time involved in the intense world of gaming knows that a truly great pair of headphones can make all the difference, both in terms of performance and sheer fun. To develop this unique premium product, Monster could not have a better partner than EA SPORTS. Their insight and expertise into exactly what features and capabilities will benefit gamers most was invaluable in the development process. The result is a new type of headphone that not only provides a much more intense listening experience for gaming - but delivers even more surround sound impact for music and movies as well. Let the games begin!"

First-Ever Monster HDHS (High Definition Headphone Surround)

Gaming is a totally immersive experience, and Monster brought all of its leading-edge expertise and technologies to bear in the creation of a new type of headphone that puts you in the action like never before. The EA SPORTS MVP Carbon by Monster is the world's first headphone to feature Monster HDHS (High Definition Headphone Surround) powered by AstoundSound, a proprietary surround processing method that delivers the most realistic, high definition headphone sound experience for gaming, music and movies. Monster HDHS goes beyond conventional 5.1 surround sound, and users enjoy this new level of immersive surround sound impact and intensity without the need for multiple speakers and separate processors – just the headphones themselves!

Another key element to the EA SPORTS MVP Carbon's astounding audio performance is Monster's latest and most sophisticated on-ear 30mm driver design for gaming and music. In conjunction with this, they incorporate the Gamebox, a powerful new type of mix amplifier and processor specifically engineered for Monster HDHS. This leading-edge multi-platform mix amp offers seamless compatibility with PCs, Xbox 360 videogame and entertainment system, PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system, Wii and Wii U.

To ensure the most comfortable gaming and music listening experience possible, EA SPORTS MVP Carbon by Monster headphones feature a convenient on-ear form factor and size, as well as a super comfortable headband with precision crafted materials to ensure the proper clamping force needed to keep the headphone firmly in place with maximum comfort. New breathable materials add to the exceptional comfort and fit during intense sessions. Adding to their use for on-the-go gamers, they feature foldable arms for easy packing and travel.

"We couldn't be more excited to partner with Monster, the world's leading manufacturer of high-performance headphones," said Christopher Erb, Vice President of EA SPORTS Brand Marketing. "Our innovative collaboration will deliver the ultimate sound experience for gaming as well as music and movies to our consumers."

Isn't that a little inaccurate? Heh.
(The speakers/headphones - at least to me - seems like they would have a rather minimal impact on the persons fatigue while gaming.)

(Granted if they block out other sources of noise it might give improved immersion.)

Well it might be a good product but it usually ends up being just another brand name doesn't it?
(Unsure how to best describe it.)

It'll be Monster, so nothing special in fancy packaging at high price tag.
It'll be EA, so buy another one every year.

Seriously? No, thx!
