Mizuchi Tech Demo Renders Real Time awesomeness

by Hilbert Hagedoorn on: 09/04/2014 08:09 AM | source: | 7 comment(s)

Silicon Studio created a demo of Mizuchi, an impressive new graphics engine that offers stunning visuals. In the video everything you see is rendered in real-time. A highly recommended video for that matter as the graphics are simply insane. It beats the phrase, 'can it run Crysis' alright. Can it run Mizuchi ?

The reflections on the robot are impressive.

What kind of hardware would be needed for this I wonder.

Not only reflections, but mainly refractions on lenses were superb.
But on other hand it was 720p render upscaled to 1080p.

I think GTX780/R9-290 should do all necessary math required if some DirectCompute ray-tracing is involved.

New UE is getting close to this and it will run well on current HW.
