Microsoft Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S Pricing and Availability Revealed

Microsofts new Xbox Series X and Series S consoles can be reserved online starting September 22 with ana availability date at November 10th, Microsoft shares today.

 Xbox Series X is Microsoft's new console series, it will offer faster loading times and gaming at 4K resolutions. The Series X gets a terabyte of SSD storage that can be expanded with additional storage.  Earlier this week Microsoft also shared details on the of a cheaper model, the Series S. The Series S is fully digital. It has half the storage capacity of the Series X and runs at 2560x1440 mad as resolution. It is also less powerful: 4 teraflops compared to the 12 of the Series X. Series S will cost around 299 euros. Its more expensive brother costs 499 euros.

Off topic. If you consider that outrageous price for the weak console (299$), you can easily speculate that its custom nvme expansion card will cost at least the same. Which is really close to the price of 970 pro m2 1tb. I want to see console fans giving 1k$ for xbox series x and two expansion cards.

That's a reasonable price for the XSX, i'm glad they didn't try to go for the 599$.

The S is gonna be the big seller - it's cheap, it's compact, it still plays all the games. Why would a parent spend $200 more on an X for their kids bedroom? Will probably steal PS5 sales too unless the PS5 is very close in price as it's the cheapest next gen console.

Ubisoft press release just came out:

With the Xbox Series X | S, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will take full advantage of the enhanced graphics, giving players the opportunity to experience the open world of Norway and England down to the very last detail. On Xbox Series X, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will run at 60 FPS in full 4K resolution.


-Full 4K at 60FPS
-Higher resolution textures
-Improved shadow quality
-More onscreen density/details than current gen
-Utilizes Direct Storage for faster loading and smoother world traversal
