Microsoft will Increase Windows license fees for high-end hardware

It has been mentioned before, different Windows 10 licensing models based on the hardware you use. Currently, there is wordout on the street that Microsoft plans to raise license fees for computers with high-end hardware. High-end doesn't men a fast processor, but also your display and amount of system memory.



The new license model is intended computer vendors and according to the Taiwanese website Digitimes, the change will put further pressure on laptop manufacturers who already suffer from increasing hardware costs.  The move is expected to put further pressure on, especially notebook makers, which currently faces rising component costs, according to industry sources.

The sources pointed out that Microsoft revised its licensing plan in 2017 and has set the fees based on notebooks' CPU grades. But for the adjustment in 2018, Microsoft is planning to include key components such as panel and memory as judgment factors for the new pricing the new licensing fees are expected to be implemented after the second quarter, sources noted. However, Microsoft has yest to confirm this news.
