Microsoft halts Windows October 2018 update due to missing user files
Microsoft has paused the rollout of the Windows 10 October 2018 Update (version 1809) for all users as they investigate reports of users missing some files after updating.
Microsoft has responded to user reports by pausing the rollout of the Fall update, something that also happened with the previous major update in April, which was also temporarily postponed due to a bug. Microsoft recommends users who downloaded the update manually to install it and ask to wait for a new version. When the new update will roll out again is not yet known, neither is the cause of the new bug known. To be updated.

I know this is a stupid thing to say but it really does make me wonder if they really do test before pushing live builds to the general public.

This only affects people that use One Drive though, which most likely people use it unknowingly. I don't use it anyways, so didn't have any issues with it.

I was wondering which files and from where, I looked on microsoft.com;
Didn't happen to me on 2 PC's I've updated... but I'm going to hold off on updating the 3rd just in case.
All my shit in the "Documents" folder are still there, which is where game saves are by default, but my entire Downloads folder got deleted.
