Microsoft halts production Xbox One X and Xbox One S
Microsoft has officially discontinued production of the Xbox One X and Xbox One S. The company is doing that in preparation for the arrival of the new game console, the Xbox Series X.
Microsoft calls it a sensible step "in the run-up to the Xbox Series X", which should be released late this year. The Xbox One S will still be sold for the time being. It is not known how many stock of the Xbox One X and Xbox One S All Digital Edition are still in circulation. The available devices are still being sold.
The Xbox One X was released in November 2017 and was a more powerful console than the 2013 Xbox One. Among other things, the game console could handle a higher 4K resolution for sharper images on 4K TVs. The Xbox One S All Digital Edition was released last April and was an Xbox One S without a disc tray. That made the device a cheaper alternative for people who only download games and do not buy them physically.

If the lockhart version is actually real then gamers are still getting a console that will bringing ray tracing and have more uptodate hardware in that version than is in the Xbox S and XBX at present, so they now only have two new consoles on the market for gamers to chose from, a bit like when the xbox 360 came out and you could either grab the £280 with a HDD, or without for £199.
