Microsoft CEO: company isn't finished buying game studios
Microsoft took everybody by surprize by announcing the purchase of ZeniMax Media, Bethesda's parent company, for a staggering $7.5 billion. The CEO of the company, Satya Nadella, says that Microsoft is open to more acquisitions of studies: "We always look to grow."
With the recent purchase of ZeniMax and its eight studios, Xbox now has 23 teams of its own working on projects to increase the value of Game Pass. The company's plan is to fill the subscription service with a multitude of varied content so that players are drawn in to continue membership.
Satya Nadella , CEO of the company, says that acquisitions will continue, but only where they make sense for Microsoft: “We will always look for places where there is that coincidence of purpose, mission and culture. We will seek to grow inorganic where it makes sense, ”Nadella said. For his part, well-known Phil Spencer commented on his content-driven approach: "Content is just the amazing ingredient on our platform that we continue to invest in."
In addition, and to reflect a little, the recent purchase of Bethesda turns out to be beneficial for both parties. For its part, the company will obtain larger budgets and greater tools from Microsoft, who will be able to enhance its catalog of renowned games: Starfield, The Elder Scrolls VI, Fallout, DOOM and many more titles.
However, now the question is who Microsoft is looking favorably on, and how much are they willing to pay to continue investing in Xbox Game Pass . Yesterday we mentioned a rumor that the company could acquire SEGA , although at the moment nothing has been confirmed.

No Japanese company will sell to Microsoft, so that leaves very little in regard to big titles that would be a success on the Xbox/PC.

At the end of the day it's just asset stripping, EA have been doing it for years so why make your own product when you can just buy up the competition.
