Microsoft announces Age of Empires IV (and trailer)
Over at Gamescom Microsoft announced a new Age of Empires. The completely new game will not be a remaster or remake. The game is made in collaboration with Relic Entertainment for Windows 10.
The game exclusively on Windows 10, publisher Microsoft Studios revealed almost nothing else about the project. Age of Empires IV will be Relic's first game produced for a publisher other than Sega, its owner, since it was purchased by auction in the selling off of THQ's assets in 2013.
Microsoft did not give a release window for Age of Empires 4. For more, check out the announcement trailer above, which consists of concept art for conquests from ancient Rome to the American Revolution.

Quite a good teaser trailer to be honest. I'm not a fan of RTS games anymore (never was big on it to be honest), and the genre in general seems to have lost a lot of popularity, but I will surely check this out, especially since I too played the previous AOE games back in the days. However, if it's an Windows store exclusive it's a definite pass...

Not sure what to think about this. Sure, at first I was pleasently surprised about it, but the thruth is, as usual, it won't be as fun to play like we had with the first / second AoE.
Until I don't see any in game footage, I'll better be careful with this.

I grew up playing AoE2, so many great memories. I hope this turns out good, otherwise its like playing with my emotions.
