The 2550 NVMe SSD series from Micron Technology is a PCI Express 4.0 (x4)-connected NVMe M.2 SSD that employs the newest 232-layer 3D NAND memory.

Even when active, the latest 3D NAND flash, a controller utilising an advanced manufacturing node, and a host memory buffer that does not utilise a DRAM cache achieve a power consumption of less than 2.5 milliwatts. When combined with a notebook PC, you can anticipate an increase in battery life. Active idle power consumption is under 150 milliwatts, and active power consumption below 5.5 watts

M.2 2230/2242/2280 is the form factor, and there are three variants with capacities of 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB. Up to 5,000 MB/s sequential read, 4,000 MB/s sequential write, up to 550,000 IOPS random read, 600,000 IOPS random write, 50 s read, 12 s write latency. The write endurance is 150 TBW for 256 GB, 300 TBW for 512 GB, and 600 TBW for 1 TB. The mean time to failure is 2 million hours.
