Micron warns that the price of your PC DRAM memory will soon rise

Micron has issued a warning that DRAM memory prices will be increasing soon due to strong demand in the consumer market and data centers and the cloud. Micron has a tough time keeping up with demand.

In case the lack of stock and the price premiums of GPUs and CPUs were not enough, now a new report indicates that we are beginning to face a situation that we anticipated at the end of last year, the increase in the price of DRAM.

“Today's DRAM market is facing a severe supply shortage, driven by strong demand and limited supply, resulting in rapid increases in DRAM prices that will tighten further along of the year… ”, Sanjav Mehrotra, Micron's CEO, warned the company's investors during financial results call.

2021 might be the worst possible year to build a Game PC with all the inflated prices.
