Micron has announced the release of new 24GB and 48GB DDR5 memory modules that are compatible with both AMD and Intel processors. These modules are designed for desktop computers and come with 5200 and 5600 MT/s data transfer rates and CL46 latency at 1.1V.

They also feature a quick setup process with support for AMD EXPO and Intel XMP 3.0 profiles. The 48GB and 96GB dual-channel memory option is more cost-effective compared to using 64GB or 128GB RAM, making it a great option for modern CPUs with many cores. The recommended prices for these modules have not been announced yet, but they are expected to be relatively affordable in the first quarter of 2023 due to lower demand and falling DDR5 SDRAM prices.

Micron's DDR5-5200 and DDR5-5600 modules' recommended prices are unknown. Despite their high capacity and performance, expect the new memory modules to be relatively inexpensive in Q1 2023 due to low PC demand and DDR5 SDRAM prices falling 18–23%.
