MediaTek Demos 480fps super slow-motion 1080p video

MediaTek's capabilities have exploded over the last couple of years and their latest SoC range reflect that. In a teaser for the still-unreleased Mediatek MT6795, MediaTek shows off the super slow-motion video-capturing capabilities in a video of a BMX stunt. According to MediaTek, this is the world's first smartphone SoC that can capture 1/16-speed video. Video after the break.

The SoC itself has eight cores clocked at 2.2 Ghz and is based on ARM's big.LITTLE technology. Unlike the standard big.LITTLE configuration, MediaTek's variation continues to use all eight cores simultaneously.

Very impressive.

That doesnt mean you get to watch a video on 480 FPS probably not even at 144hz

Impressive that it can capture video at 480FPS. The optics look good but not great, CCDs have to improve.
