Man sells Steam account for $1,000 on eBay

by Hilbert Hagedoorn on: 01/19/2010 01:13 PM | source: | 0 comment(s)

Here's a new idea to make some money by selling your Steam games. Destructoid reports that eBay user dave311freak sold his Steam account for $1,000, which contained 139 games (which includes Grand Theft Auto IV, Modern Warfare 1 and 2, and Borderlands) and was estimated at a value of $2,700:

139 games were up for grabs, and somebody actually bit, stumping up $1,000 for the "Buy It Now" price. It seems that the seller, "dave311freak," has inspired some other hopeful Steam merchants, as two more Steam accounts have popped up for sale, albeit with significantly less to offer. Dave, for his part, said he wanted to sell the account to spend more time with his family and less time playing games. For $1,000, you can take your family somewhere pretty cool.
