MainGear adds NVIDIA GeForce GTX 900M to its Laptops

MainGear announced the new NOMAD 17 custom gaming laptop as the ultimate solution for high performance gaming on-the-go. The NOMAD 17 boasts top tier mobile hardware such as NVIDIA GTX 970M and 980M series graphics cards and 4th generation Intel Core i7 mobile processors encased in a new full aluminum chassis that offers a clean yet bold design.

Games and entertainment just got better with the MAINGEAR NOMAD 17 custom built laptop thanks to the new NVIDIA GeForce GTX 900M series graphics cards. The NOMAD 17 now features the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970M and the GTX 980M, delivering up to twice the gaming performance of the previous GTX 680M.

Based on NVIDIA's Maxwell architecture, the new NOMAD 17 not only offers great gaming performance but is also incredibly power efficient. This beastly custom laptop also takes advantage of NVIDIA's unique Optimus Technology that further maximizes power savings by dynamically assigning workload as needed to either the built-in Intel HD Graphics or the dedicated GeForce GPU.

The NOMAD 17 gaming laptop provides top performance with support of the latest 4th generation Intel I7 mobile processors with 4 cores and 8 threads of hyper-threaded power, with up to a 4.0 GHz turbo boosted clock speeds. It will also offer up to 32 GB of high speed DDR3-1600 MHz memory, and a full array of hard drive options, including support for a blazing fast RAID 0 of 4 M.2 SSD. With Killer E2200 Game Networking adapter, USB 3.0 and 2.0, eSATA, Bluetooth, Ethernet, 802.11ac wireless, HDMI, and mDP out ports, the NOMAD 17 custom laptop doesn't lack connectivity options, either.

Functionality and Style
The NOMAD 17's new aesthetics are the perfect mix of style and beauty, featuring hand-painted premium automotive paint options available in six new sexy colors that are offered in matte or custom glossy finish. Functionality mixes with style in the new NOMAD 17 gaming laptop with a fully backlit keyboard, a full HD 1080P 17.3" anti-reflective display, multi-touch trackpad with gesture and scrolling support, as well as dual speakers with a built-in subwoofer. With all this performance, the NOMAD 17 keeps cool with an advanced dual-fan thermal cooling design that ensures stability and performance even under heavy load, all while maintaining minimal noise. Users can change fan speeds on the fly with Cooler Boost manual fan controls.

"MAINGEAR is always ready to adopt the best portable gaming technology from NVIDIA, and we are one of the first to offer the fastest, most advanced gaming notebook GPU in all of our laptops," said Wallace Santos, MAINGEAR CEO.
