Mad Catz New Range of RAT Gaming Mice

Mad Catz New Range of RAT Gaming Mice

Mad Catz Interactive announced its new and improved range of RAT gaming mice with its entirely upgraded range of RAT mice - the RAT1, RAT4, RAT6, RAT8, RAT PRO S+ and RAT PRO X+.

The new line of RAT mice features key parts that are adjustable and customizable to accommodate different sized hands and grip styles. This Dynamic Ergonomics philosophy is a key feature that runs through-out every RAT model, vastly improving the gaming experience and comfort of play. From the adjustable palm rest of the RAT4 to the ultimate customization of nearly every surface of the RAT PRO X+, users can tweak their RAT to near personal perfection.

The world's most customizable mice, wrapped in a bold color scheme designed to appeal to gamers and non-gamers alike, have also been given integrated intelligent lighting, powered by Kameleon RGB technology. Multiple illumination zones enable users to select from up to 16.8 million color variations and apply various illumination effects, making the RAT mouse the centrepiece of their gaming rig.

In addition, the new RAT line of gaming mice goes beyond Dynamic Ergonomics enhancements and Kameleon RGB illumination to incorporate a host of other new features. Newly-installed sensors and button configurations contribute to the feel of each mouse in the user's hand and how the mouse reacts and performs to user commands. And, regardless of the genre or style of play, the new FLUX Software Interface can be used to quickly and intuitively tune all aspects of the sensor, macro buttons, and RGB LEDs to meet each user's unique needs.

"The PC gaming market continues to grow as it adapts and changes to be the platform of choice for many of the world's best and most complex gaming experiences," said Andrew Young, Chief Technology Officer of Mad Catz. "For a platform as customizable as the PC, it makes sense that gamers and enthusiasts will look to use peripherals that match the level of sophistication of both their hardware and software. Our RAT mice have always been a platform to showcase precision engineering and enhance the gaming experience and the new 2016 range of RAT products proudly continues our tradition of seeking out the best materials, components and technologies to deliver the features and precision that PC gamers seek."

Mad Catz expects to ship the new RATs in time for the 2016 holiday season.

Did they change the twin eye phillips sensor because I owned from the first RAT 7 to the latest and this sensor is horrible. After 10minutes of play it get the so called Z axis bug which for 1-2 seconds you can only move your mouse horisontally and not vertically. Which is annoying as hell, other than that the most comfortable mouse I've ever had.

I hope they fixed the sensor issues, went thru 3 RAT 7's before going to a G502. Loved the width/length customization of the Rat series...

Buy the time I bought the RAT 9...
Wireless model they had already updated the series lines with the stencil half moon fix for that z axis bug.
I can attest to rock solid z axis behavior. ( or at least better z tracking compared to any other mouse I have ever owned )

I am a huge fan of sharp "stealth fighter" style hexa-angular design
But I wish they retained the original slate matte black restrained color scheme of the original cyborg and the chunky aluminum metal bed for a cool indutrial look compared to the garish glo colors mad catz introduced...
But the duo scheme with this red is not as bad.

After experiencing less than 1 ms wireless latency response time reaction of RAT 9. I can never go back to a wired mouse.
They built my RAT 9 like a tank so after 6 years of horrible abuse and droppage... I have no reason to compromise. I love my RAT!
