London 3D printer show: A world of pure (plastic) imagination -
The future is made of plastic and is being gradually spat out of a 3D printer.Have a peek at London's 3D printer show to examine trinkets, musical instruments, a house, and even replica cat skeletons scanned from mummified remains. Video after the break.
Unlike traditional printers, which print ink on paper, 3D printers create objects by adding layer upon layer of material to make a replica of an object from 3D model data. The technology has been around for more than 20 years but over the last decade the costs have come down significantly, making 3D printing a possibility for students, small businesses and even individuals.

This is awesome :]
I wonder when this technology will be available enough, so I can just buy such device without sacrificing a kidney or 2.
You can get some pretty cheap 3D printers at the minute. They are pretty amazing as they can potentially print a copy of themselves.

Actually, 3D organ printing development is going very well atm. You could just print a new kidney lol. Just hold your breath in the meanwhile, think up something, I don't know.
