Logitech introduces wireless MX Ergo trackball
Logitech announced its MX Ergo Trackball for 99 USD /109 euros. The design looks a bit like the MX Master mouse. This however is a fully fetched wireless wireless trackball, optimized for ergonomics.
Today Logitech announced Logitech MX ERGO, a wireless trackball that sets a new standard for comfort and precision. Launching its first new innovative trackball in nearly a decade, Logitech’s MX ERGO offers personalized comfort with a unique adjustable hinge, precision tracking with multi-device connectivity for trackball enthusiasts, and those consumers searching for alternatives to mice and touchpads.
"We are so excited by this new trackball. It is back, better than ever and the idea for this trackball innovation was inspired by our users, who invented creative ways to achieve their desired level of comfort, sometimes adding additional wedges under their trackball for elevated angles,” said Anatoliy Polyanker, global portfolio and brand director at Logitech. “The MX ERGO is our first adjustable trackball that delivers on the need for elevated comfort in a beautiful design.”
The MX ERGO reduces muscular strain by 20% compared to using a standard mouse. With the adjustable hinge, you can increase the angle from 0 to 20 degrees which improves wrist posture and pronation. The carefully sculpted shape gives your hand full palm and finger support, while the soft rubber on the top ensures a good, comfortable grip for long hours of work. MX ERGO offers the latest tracking technology, allowing faster and more precise navigation, with the ability to instantly change your cursor speed and accuracy for optimal control with the press of a button. An LED light illuminates when precision mode is activated, giving you the ideal control with the trackball.
Featuring a rechargeable battery that lasts up to four months on a full charge, depending on usage, the MX ERGO can also give you a complete day of work with just one minute of charge if you find yourself low on power. MX ERGO is enabled with both Logitech Easy-SwitchTM and Logitech FlowTM. With Logitech Flow, available as a free download as part of Logitech® OptionsTM software, and Easy-Switch, you can take multi-computer use to a new level. Seamlessly switch between two computers with one mouse, and even copy and paste content, images and documents between them.
The Logitech MX ERGO is priced at $99.99

first of all may i say nostalgia

i assure you kid, we are still here, alive and kicking! and we are not THAT OLD!!!...although most of the pros moved to 3d mice, "again, check 3Dconnexion" they tend to keep the old trackball around and use it frequently.

Interesting design. I'm glad to see Logitech still trying new trackball layouts. I wish some day, that someone in Logitech's R&D dept. would find and re-introduce the SpaceOrb 360 game controller - that in my opinion, was the absolute best pc game controller ever made!
Logitech bought out the company (Spacetec IMC) back in the late 90's or early 2000's. Spacetec IMC developed the SpaceOrb 360 in the mid to late 90's. Just after they bought the company, Logitech promised they would continue supporting it, but after about 6 months, they dropped their commitment to it. I feel this product is locked away somewhere in Logitech's archives - very sad really. Here's a link on Wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SpaceOrb_360

Still have an old ps/2 trackman marble in my desk; my introduction to trackballs.
Through time I went with Kensington though, and own several expert & orbit trackballs. They're great: always at the same place, never out of moving space, and perfectly fits large workspaces (3600x1920, tri 24"). I just forget it's there; it's a direct brain-to-cursor interface.

Trackballs are great for those lazy times in bed or on the sofa watching movies / gaming etc
I still use an old wireless Logitech Cordless Trackman Marble, but it's old tracking tech is hopeless at keeping up with fast movements, so really looking forward to an upgrade soon

I really thought that by 2017 everybody still using trackballs would have died of old age.
