LG's 27EP950-B is a 26.9-inch professional 4K organic EL display with a 1,000,000: 1 contrast ratio.

A new model in LG's professional organic EL display "LG UltraFine Display OLED Pro" series, measuring 26.9 inches and capable of supporting 4K resolution, has been introduced. Sales in the United States will begin around the end of November.

The use of an organic EL panel with the ability to modulate the brightness in pixel units allows for a wide range of brightness, from 0.0005 cd / m2 or less in dark parts to a maximum of 500 cd / m2 in bright areas, as well as a high contrast ratio of 1,000,000: 1. In addition, it has received the "VESA DisplayHDR TRUE BLACK 400" certification, which allows for color expression that is as close to true black as possible without sacrificing quality. The primary specifications include around 1.07 billion display colors, 99 percent coverage of DCI-P3 / Adobe RGB, reaction time of 1 millisecond, refresh rate of 60 frames per second, and horizontal / vertical viewing angles of 178 degrees. The input interfaces are HDMIx1, DisplayPortx2, USB Type-Cx1, USB 3.0x3, and the USB Type-C has a Power Delivery function of up to 90W. The USB Type-C has a Power Delivery function of up to 90W.

The stand includes a 90-degree pivot and a 110-millimeter height adjustment, and the VESA mounter offers a pitch of 100x100 millimeters. The external measurements are 624 mm in width, 239 mm in depth, 477 to 587 mm in height, and the weight is 4.8 kg. This puppy will be roughly 3000 USD.

actually the price isn't too bad. i was expecting $6k - $7k for this kind of display

even better news is that LG is scaling up (from phone format) this OLED technology with a far finer pitch than TV OLEDs.
i would hope to see 27"-38" displays in the Ultra Gaming series in the next year or so.
given the price premium for fast HDR monitors, these OLEDs would slide right in and offer a performance level currently unseen in the market loaded with top heavy expensive work-arounds to OLED (i see you ROG and your mini-leds)

As tunejunky said, consumers in the gaming market are not the target audience. For the market this monitor is aimed at, this is pretty good.

This is great to see. I hope that in the next few years we will see OLED panels in the gaming market because that would be super exciting. Maybe a year or two after the new DisplayPort standards land? Still, nice to see progress in the monitor sphere again.
