Yeah I know pro CSGO play with 4:3 but I'm too old for some twitch shooter games now

It took some time to get used to a 48in TV but it's breathtaking when playing AAA games

And yeah I didn't like the 34" curve display all that much despite having them for 5 years, maybe racing games would benefit from 21:9 but for the majority of games 16:9 is much better
34" curved is nice for racing games, but still with some distance, 49" 32:9 is even better.
You don't get used to it when you got no more than an arms lenght to the monitor though, I had a 43", simply couldn't get used to having a monitor that wide as close to my face.

Heh, for racing best is good VR headset.
On my end, just ordered 48 C1 for 1149€ , at worst case I use it as my bedroom TV, but will try it as monitor first.

True, but so far I didn't see a VR headset that is good enough when it comes to image quality.

Which is funny because for competitive fps the traditional 4:3 with forced black bars is still preferred by many (including myself).

In my case that would end up being a neckdestroyer.
Found a 32" to be absolute max on my desktop.
34" 21:9 is a tad to wide for me when gaming (even when curved) besides that I don't like those resolutions when watching videos in fullscreen.
