LG To Launch 27UD58-B 27-Inch Ultra HD IPS Monitor at 499 USD

LG is about to launch a new 27-inch 4K LCD monitor, the 27UD58-B. Adopting an IPS panel, this new 27-inch LED-backlight monitor provides 3840 x 2160 4K native resolution, 1000:1 contrast ratio (DCR 5,000,000:1), 250 cd/m2 brightness, 5ms (GTG) response time and 178/178 degree viewing angles.

Apart from that, the 27UD58-B also comes with a number of advanced features including Black Stabilizer – to increase the visibility of the dark scenes, SUPER+ Resolution (super-resolution technology), Flicker-Safe function and Blue Light reduction function.

I think up to 32" would be good for UHD.


Anything over 32'' has its place in a work environment, instead of having 2 or more screens you have lets say a 36 to 40 one that acts like a fusion of 4 monitors. On a sidenode... if anyone got a desk job and only one monitor (FHD)... go complain... that's unacceptable^^

Imo too small for 4k. This size is more appropriate for 1440p.


Bah. The increased pixel density is great as long as apps properly scale UI elements. In games you'd hardly need any anti-aliasing with such high pixel density, and you'd be able to see finer details like individual leafs of trees in games.
