LG Shipped 44 million LCD TVs in Q1 2017

Geez, them numbers. LG has shipped 44 million LCD TVs, and that was just for Q1 this year. Global LCD TV shipments reached 44.05 million units in first-quarter 2017, decreasing 31.0% sequentially and 8.4% on year, according to WitsView.

The peak season in the China market during the 2017 Lunar New Year holidays fell far short of expectation, WitsView said, adding global LCD TV shipments in the second quarter will grow 8% sequentially and total shipments in 2017 are forecast at 219 million units.

Yeah, while LG are one of the best if you're after a high end screen, it's not so simple in the lower range.

If i was after an OLED screen then i would be looking at LG, but a standard 4k set that most of the public can afford i would tend to go for Sony.

Amazing considering that they make the worst LCD TV's out of any of the big names. IPS tech sucks for TV's.
