LG Offers new QHD IPS monitor called ERGO

Priced at 450 USD the IPS Display at 27" and 2560x1440 resolution, features realistic, accurate color and enhanced contrast, clarity and detail at wide angles. Whatever the task, get it done fast.

The monitor focuses on three fundamentals: image fidelity, an ergonomic design and full connectivity via just one USB-C port. The 27QN880-B is a monitor with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels.  The IPS panel supports HDR10, AMD FreeSync and covers 99% of the sRGB color space. Apart from USB-C, DisplayPort is also available, just like HDMI in twofold.

  • 27" QHD (2560x1440) IPS
  • sRGB 99% (Typ.) with HDR10
  • Ergonomic Stand with C-Clamp
  • Extend/Retract, Swivel, Pivot, Height, Tilt
  • AMD FreeSync™
  • USB Type-C™ (60W Power Delivery)

The 27QN880-B will initially be available online through LG and can be purchased in all stores from July 1.

450 USD for a 60Hz QHD panel?!

I must be missing something in the spec sheets, like gold plating or something.

Edit: It's probably the stand, LGs webpage makes a big deal out the flexibility of the stand.

Dont see anything in the article that specifies 60Hz. The LG page also omits it. However both B&H and Adorama order pages note it as 75Hz. That said, 75hz at $450 is still way too much.

I admit that's my assumption. Generally speaking, if the refresh rate is omitted (as opposed to plastered all over the place) it's going to be terrible - which usually means 60Hz.

75Hz is basically the same though, and as you note the same reasoning regarding price applies.

It's a calibrated prosumer monitor with HDR, not a gaming screen. GtG is 5ms... it's definitely CHEAPER than a $1,500 27" Eizo...
