LG obtains a Patent on a Gaming PC design

Yeah I know, that sounds a little awkward right? But yeah, LG know for smartphones, Oled UHD TVs, laptops, tables and well, electronics, in general, has received a patent for a Gaming PC.

It's not new in the sense and knowledge that LG has been working for a long time on desktop systems, however, was not very active with it the past few years, the new patent indicates that to change though. The patent was filed and granted by the Korean Intellectual Property Office, or KIPO in short. The patent was granted and published a few days ago.

It contains sketches for the chassis with a rather with a bit of an alien look? The guys from Let's Go Digital have made some renders of what that could look like. Perhaps we'll see some new announcements at CES?

Don't forget LG use to be Goldstar.
Remember those cheap crappy electronics from the 80's.
I remeber that from audio and VHS cassettes

Think I saw few radios and walkmans too, but they looked meh even back then xD

Can any generic bullshit ANYTHING be patented outside the US? Or is such insanity exclusive? This doesn't surprise me because Apple patented a fracking rectangle with icons on it, and won in court after suing.

I've seen toilets with less generic designs.

Edit: Oh... almost didn't realize -

Yeah but... this is beyond a rectangle - it's a box. That's 1 whole additional dimension! If that's not awe-inspiring creativity that needs protection, I don't know what is!
