Lenovo Specs Indicate pending mobile 9000 series processors from Intel

A new spec list surfaced at Lenovo, it involves the S530 series, and it mentions three processors from the 9000 series. Which Intel to date has not yet announced. These will be the Core i3, i5 and i7 in the U-series for laptops.

The three processors listed on the IdeaPad S530-13IWL are the i7-9550U, i5-9250U and i3-9130U and would replace the Core i7-8565U, Core i5-8265U and Core i3-8145U. It is assumed these are Whiskey Lake proces, however there is a chance that the 9000 series will be Comet Lake U models. Rumors surfaced about this name last summer. Comet lake U is a further enhanced 14nm++ based chip generation for laptops, with up to four cores. Lenovo could announce the new IdeaPad at CES.

My nephew got the New Yoga 730 with i5 8265U( Whiskey Lake) 2 month ago, turns out that we get the newest models long before rest of the world here in Israel, so there was no info about performance over the web. I can tell you that the performance is same as older i5 8250U in the real world. just another Tick Tock :).

Can't say I'm surprised, considering Intel's relationship with Israel. That's pretty cool though.
Haha also I think you meant "Tick Tick".

I thought so too but then I was told in the store that it's Lenovo's Marketing decision, they sell really well here.
And since the "Whiskey Lake" was Tick Tick- what should we call those "new" CPU's ? Tick Tick++? ;)

P.S- I will update if I gonna spot those new CPU's in stores.
