Leaked teaser confirms Rage 2 (Updated Trailer = Live)

Bethesda Softworks is working on Rage 2, and its likely to be announced soon. a teaser trailer leaked while the studio has not yet announced the game itself.

The teaser surfaced at YouTube but shortly after posting got removed due to a copyright claim from Bethesda Softworks. Twitter user Wario64 has posted a gif of the fragment in a tweet. Look closely and you can see short fragments of characters from the post-apocalyptic game world.

Back in 2010 the original Rage was released by id Software. The new version is quite a surprise. Other then that leaked trailer and an entry on Walmart nothing is known otherwise. Eurogamer reports that the game would officially be announced later today.

The teaser reveals Rage 2 likes the colour pink, is over-the-top post-apocalyptic and all a bit Mad Max. There's still no word on the developer, platforms or a release date, but with an official announcement set for later today, we don't have long to wait to find out.

Update: Bethesda just posted the trailer:

Cannot wait. I'm sure the new, will be a gem of a game. I quite liked the original, it was a little quirky on the out side, but under the hood definitely an ID game. :p

Wow, I thought this IP was dead! I really enjoyed Rage, and the DLC too. Thank you Hilbert for posting this.

Hopefully the trailer showing the video game will be good.

I thought the first one was a blast of mindless fun. Very arcade-like once the action kicks in.

I picked it up a while after it came out, so it was bug-free for me. And of course I was running an Nvidia card. The original didn't play well with AMD cards due to the GPU Transcoding setting, which gets a boost from Nvidia CUDA cores.

Hype start again.
I never play in Rage.. but this teaser look like for stupid people.
But! Mad Max game was fun.
And will be good if they not fail with engine. Mad Max has nice SLI support.
And I hope they not fail with that...
