The next generation of SAS has arrived, bringing improved performance, reliability and data protection along with it. Today, KIOXIA America, Inc. (formerly Toshiba Memory America, Inc.) became the first 1 company to bring 24G SAS to server and storage applications with the introduction of its 6 th generation enterprise SAS SSD family.

96-layer BiCS FLASH 3D TLC NAND is used as NAND flash, enabling high-speed data transfer of 4,300 MB/sec for reading and 4,101 MB/sec for writing, which greatly exceeds existing SAS drives. Furthermore, it is equipped with a "multi-stream write function" that improves rewriting performance and product life, and an "error correction function" that can protect data even if two memory chips fail.

The product lineup is 960GB to 30.72TB for the 1DWPD model that is most suitable for read intensive access such as continuous data patterns, 400GB to 12.8TB for the 3DWPD model that is most suitable for mixed reading access such as media streaming and data warehousing, big data analysis and high performance. The optimal 10D PWD model for intensive write access such as computation is 400GB to 3.2TB.
