KIOXIA Announces Exceria PRO and Exceria G2 Series Client M.2 NVMe SSDs (PCIe4.0 (x4))
Kioxia has released the consumer NVMe M.2 SSD "EXCERIA PRO SSD" that supports PCI-Express4.0 (x4). It is a high-end model targeting importance on speed, and it is said that sequential reading will reach about twice that of the existing model "EXCERIA PLUS SSD" with PCI-Express3.0 (x4) connection.
Other detailed specifications have not been disclosed, but the NAND flash will be "BiCS FLASH" and the form factor will be M.2 2280 single-sided mounting. The "EXCERIA G2 SSD" released at the same time is the successor model to the "EXCERIA SSD" for the mainstream. The maximum capacity is 2TB, and sequential reading is planned to exceed 2,000MB / sec. The NAND flash is also "BiCS FLASH", and the form factor is M.2 2280 single-sided mounting. These products will be exhibited for reference at the " China Joy" (China Digital Entertainment Expo and Conference) to be held in Shanghai, China from July 30th to August 2nd . It is scheduled to go on sale in the fourth quarter of 2021
