Kingston Technology has announced the release of the high endurance SSD "DC600M" series, offering a lineup of storage capacities up to 7.68TB.
This new series is designed to cater to the needs of data centers, providing robust performance and reliability. The "DC600M" series is equipped with hardware-based power loss protection, ensuring data integrity during sudden power outages. It boasts an impressive write endurance of over 14,000 TBW (Terabytes Written), ensuring long-lasting durability.
Techwind Co., Ltd., based in Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo, will begin offering Kingston's SSD "DC600M" series for data centers starting from today, May 30, 2023.
Key features of the "DC600M" series include:
- Interface: SATA 3.0
- Form factor: 2.5 inches with a thickness of 7 mm
- Capacities: 480 GB, 960 GB, 1.92 TB, 3.84 TB, and 7.68 TB
- Adoption of high-quality 3D TLC NAND for mixed workloads
- Hardware-based power loss protection with dedicated capacitors
- Enterprise-class SMART function for monitoring product life, wear leveling, temperature, etc.
- AES 256-bit encryption for enhanced security
In terms of performance, the "DC600M" series offers impressive transfer speeds of up to 560MB/s for sequential reads and 530MB/s for simultaneous writes. It also delivers exceptional random read speeds of up to 94,000 IOPS (Input/Output Operations Per Second) and random write speeds of up to 78,000 IOPS. The read latency ranges from 180 to 240 μs, while the write latency ranges from 110 to 300 μs.
The "DC600M" series ensures reliability with a write endurance ranging from 876 TBW to 14,016 TBW. It has a Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) of 2 million hours and comes with a product warranty of 5 years.
