Kinston is releasing a new line of SATA 6.0 Gbps SSDs, the A400. The product is based on a Phison S11 controller and is paired with Toshiba 2D Planar 15nm TLC NAND Flash.

Coming in three different storage capacities: 120GB, 240GB and 480GB, these slim 2.5-inch SSDs (7mm thick) are built with TLC NAND Flash memory chips, a SATA 6.0 Gbps interface, a 2ch SSD controller and an MTBF of 100 million hours.

In terms of performance, the A400 SSDs promise to deliver read and write speeds of up to 500MB/s and 320MB/s (120GB model), 500MB/s and 350MB/s (240GB model), and 500MB/s and 450MB/s (480GB model), respectively. Backed by a 3-year warranty, the Kingston A400 SSDs will be available soon.
