King of Wushu Trailer with NVIDIA GameWorks tech

by Hilbert Hagedoorn on: 12/08/2014 10:31 AM | source: | 18 comment(s)

King of Wushu brings a highly stylized martial arts world to life with Cryengine 3. In this special sneak trailer, the development team at Snail Games demonstrates the use of NVIDIA GameWorks (HairWorks and PhysX Clothing), with highly refined dynamic animations and realistic-looking gameplay. King of Wushu is an upcoming Kungfu-themed MOBA from developer Snail Games. Building on the unique style and themes of previous title Age of Wushu, King of Wushu aims to create a vivid and graphically stunning world of wandering heroes, Buddhist monks, and nimble assassins. King of Wushu is currently in development, with release set for 2015.

Nice effects on clothing, but ... "realistic battles" ?

It may look good , but not " realistic " :)

I've yet to see where realistic cloth and hair makes a game any more, you know, FUN. Maybe a Repunzel based game?

I wish i could get into this. i love martial arts stuff and have tried age of wushu a few times, but that game in total, spam and client to play put me down, so i doubt i will try this.

Well, the first cutscene part of the trailer could be a good demo ( well hair are a bit, i dont know, it miss something ), but in game, i dont see when or how you will see anything seeing how it is set.
