Kensington Unveils 15-Port Thunderbolt 3 & USB Type-C Hybrid Docking Station

Kensington has introduced a versatile docking station boasting 15 ports, compatible with both Thunderbolt 3 and USB Type-C connections.



The newly released "SD5600T Thunderbolt 3 & USB-C Dual 4K Hybrid Docking Station" (model number: K34009JP) is available for purchase starting April 3, 2023.

The docking station is designed to accommodate USB Type-C connections, in addition to Thunderbolt 3. The front panel houses an SD card slot, a microSD card slot, a USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port, a USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A port, and a headphone/microphone jack. On the rear, the dock provides a Thunderbolt 3 / USB 3.1 Gen Type-C port for host connection, along with Gigabit LAN, five USB 3.1 Type-A ports, two HDMI ports, and two DisplayPort ports, totaling 15 ports.

The display output supports 4K@60Hz for both single and dual displays when connected via Thunderbolt 3. When connected with USB Type-C HBR2, it offers single 4K@30Hz and dual 1080p@60Hz, while HBR3 connections provide single 4K@60Hz and dual 1440p@60Hz.

The docking station's Thunderbolt 3 / USB Type-C port for host connection delivers up to 96W of power, enabling simultaneous charging for a notebook PC. Measuring 197mm x 104mm x 36.8mm (horizontal) or 73.2mm x 141.2mm x 202.8mm (vertical) and weighing 835g, the product comes with a 3-year warranty.
