Intel Xeon Broadwell-EP Could Launch at the end of the Month ?
There is an Intel slide surfacing in forums, and that slide definitely seems to be legit. It indicates a new Xeon processor to be launching on March 31st. The interesting part here is that it is a based on Broadwell-EP architecture. The chip would be launching as Xeon E5-2600 V4 series.
As the Intel slide indicates the "Broadwell-EP" CPU is to offer at least "20% more cores and last-level cache" compared towards "Haswell-EP." Perhaps 10 cores over 8 at the same price ? Or even 8 cores at the price of a 6 core version ? Who will know.
The slide on average 18% more performance opposed to Haswell-EP." Also interesting to see is native support for DDR4-2400 MHz, which to date always has been DDR4-2133 MHz.

There's go a month's paycheck for that "possible" 8core Broadwell. No regrets tho!
Nice I must start looking for someone to sell my 5820k!
That shouldn't be a problem

Maybe. Its not that easy since no one would "need" it since all X99 owner have a 5820k or up CPU, compared to 1155/1150/1151 which many "lower-end" CPU owners(non-k etc) wanted to upgrade or something.
Only way is to find someone who wants to get it just to save some cash on the new build. That would be my guess.
I will list it locally when the time comes and fingers crossed.
