Intel X-series processors Specs leaked incl Core i9 7980 XE

Yesterday a new slide surfaced on the web, detailing the entire Core X lineup from Intel, the interesting thing here is that the specs shown include the full line-up, up-to the 14, 16 and 18-core parts.

Several media have reported about this new leak, including some confirmation on Asia regions. The slide was first leaked at (and courtesy of Videocardz). Detailed specs from the entire range up-to the Core i9 7980 XE. Looking at the slide, that does look like a legit Intel one.

It will be interesting to see how energy consumption and heat levels will hold with the upcoming procs. Intel will be competing with AMDs Ryzen Threadripper 1920X and 1950X. As you can see, intel will offer 44 PCIe Gen 3 lanes opposed to 64 on Threadripper. Configurations would break down into this:

Number of threads of TRs seem to be switched.

Clock speeds are too low for me. I won't be buying any of the i9's. Hopefully the Coffee Lake CPU's won't be as disappointing.

They are indeed. I'm sure HH will see it and fix it.

mmm, you have 18c/36t at the same price point that 10c/20t were not that long ago in the Intel line-up, so logic says yes, as there are still many people who wouldn't touch AMD with a barge-pole.
