Intel To Release Core i9 9900KS processor: runs 5 GHz on all eight cores
Intel today announced a new processor prior to the start of Computex, the Core i9 9900KS processor will have 5 GHz boost activated on all eight cores.
So basically in threaded workloads where one or all threads are utilized, the processor will jump to 5 GHz in all threads/cores. The existing Core i9 9900K, which has one core active up to 5 GHz, and all core stress translates towards a maximum of 4.7 GHz on all cores.
Intel did not share any details on what the TDP is going to be for this SKU, as certainly it'll be higher than 100 Watts. Intel shows a demo that at standards utilizes all-in-one water cooler. Intel has not disclosed a price either.

Okey, but what happens to the speed when all vulnerabilities are patched?

Don't know, it was on the Intel website when i was looking at this gen spec while having free time to waste (i won't buy this CPU anyway, i am more powerfull stable Xeon to work and small but fantastic Athlon GE to do things that is not work).
Have they fixed it? IIRC they said that they will release something with it around late 2019 / 2020. Although I could easily imagine that those 5GHz then wouldn't bring the same raw performance as without the mitigations.

AMD fanboy's attacking Intel for these binned CPUs, yet..... didn't AMD just release a "Special Edition" binned CPU recently?
At least the Intel i9 9900KS Special Edition will have better performance Out of the Box than the Ryzen 7 2700X Special Edition. In fact, a Regular 9900K is better than 2700X special edition
1st, AMD released 50th anniversary edition, nothing special about it. (It is celebration edition which includes IHS with Lisa's signature, T-Shirt, 2 special edition games and some other nice things. But CPU is same.)
2nd, i9-9900K costs double of regular 2700X and almost double of 2700X 50th anniversary.
3rd, i9-9900KS is unlikely to improve this price difference.
4th, at price of i9-9900KS, people will consider getting even Ryzen 9 3950X
