Intel takes down new SSD firmware due to drive corruption

by Hilbert Hagedoorn on: 10/28/2009 02:40 PM | source: | 0 comment(s)

One day after releasing the SSD Trim tool and Firmware upgrade Intel pulled down the software as users reported corrupted and broken SSD drives. The firmware flashes fine yet users report that after loading the OS troubles tart with bad sectors and occasionally systems are refusing to boot whatsoever.

02HA Firmware Upgrade for Windows 7* Systems - Unavailable

Intel has been contacted by users with issues with the 02HA firmware upgrade on Windows 7* systems and are investigating. We take all sightings and issues seriously and are working toward resolution. We have temporarily taken down the firmware update while we investigate.

Thank you for your patience.
